The Fun Game for Teaching/Learning English - Phrazzleme!
The Concept of the Game
Teaching English has just become a lot easier with Phrazzle! The idea of the game is that you can Learn English and have fun while making logical English phrases or questions for points.
The longer the English phrase or question, the more points accrued. The people who will get the most benefit from this game will be those that are studying ESL (English as a Second Language). They will learn English quickly, efficiently and have fun too! Accordingly, the rules of the game can be modified or simplified by the teacher or monitor by simply taking out the harder-to-use words or giving extra points for making questions. You can teach Gerunds, for example, on the very first game (these are normally very difficult to teach but, in this case, it makes the game easier to play). The main objective is that the player can learn English while having fun.
And teachers, frustration can be a positive key element in playing this game since no one likes to lose a turn for writing a phrase incorrectly. The student will study in order to win games and not because he or she is being forced to learn a new language. The teacher should use common sense and patience in order to make the game more effective and educational.
It is recommended that, for beginners, the game should start out with short phrases such as “ I WORK” and then be added-on to, such as, “ WITH MY BROTHER” for example. The game is played with 7 pieces per player.
